Counselors at Discovery are prepared to intervene in many
situations that life brings to the surface. We have counselors
that specialize in many areas. Our services include pre-marital
counseling, marriage, re-marriage, divorce, children, adolescents,
family issues, sexual integrity, addiction recovery, identity,
depression, anxiety, mood issues, and other relational
problems.
Current hourly rates vary based upon education: Graduate
Interns are $30, Masters Level Interns are $65, and Licensed
Masters Level Therapists are $85. Group charges are $25
per session.
Group therapy is intended to help people who would like
to improve their ability to cope with difficulties and
problems in their lives. People relate on issues
with the other members of the group who have similar issues
in a setting that is both provides support and a safe environment.
The counselor is present to support the group, to provide
direction and direct feedback to the group.
Current groups are:
Marriage Struggles: Helping couples work through
the struggles and difficulties in their marriages.
Cross-cultural Struggles: Helping people understand
the effect of cross-cultural struggles on their work, social life, marriages
and family relations.
Men’s Struggles: Helping
men deal with the problems they face in life and with relationships.
